Dear Members of the Recording Academy
I’m delighted to submit ‘One Million Dillions’ for your consideration in Best Children’s Music Album category.
This body of work was recorded during the mansion house sessions at Elkwood Studio in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia with some dear friends and incredible talents.
My goal with this album, as always, was to create a sound that can be shared and enjoyed by the whole family, from the littlest, to the biggest.
It’s just about lovin’ eachother and spending time together singing the same tunes.
For Your Consideration
Lyrics
-
Train is coming
Train is coming
Train is coming
Train is coming
I can hear it on the trackWhoop woo whoop woo whoop woo
Well the train is coming I can hear it on the track
Well the train is coming I can hear it on the track…Hear the clickety clack
…There’s a penny on the track
…Once it’s gone it’s never coming back -
Whadda say we sail away
in a tiny boat together
Over the sun under the moon
We can spy for treasureWhaddaya say
And we can be together
In any kind of weather
And I’ll be yours foreverHey Hey
Hey HeyWhaddaya say we run away
To a tiny town together
We’ll open a shop or a bakery
Making birthday cakes to measureWhaddaya say we saddle a cloud
And ride the wind together
Over the sea and the mountain tops
Like two birds of a feather -
Hey Shadow hey shadow
Well you follow me around
On the wall and on the ground all dayHey shadow hey shadow
Standing up or sitting down
We walk we run around and we playWhere do you go at night
Are you sleeping tight next to me
Where do you go at night
Do you see the dreams that I drea
Hey ShadowHey shadow hey shadow
Sometimes bright and sometimes dim
All depending on the light that we’re inHey shadow hey shadow
We’re connected by our toes
And everybody knows you’re with meHey shadow oooh ooh
Hey shadow oooh ooh -
This little piggy went to market
This little piggy stayed home
This little piggy had roast beef
And this little piggy had noneLi li diddly di di
Oh li li diddly dee
Li li diddly di di
Oh that’s alright with meMary quite contrary
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells and cockleshells
And pretty maids in a rowHey baa baa black sheep
Oh Have you any wool?
Yes sir yes sir yes i do
I’ve got three bags fullHey diddle diddle
cat and the fiddle
cow jumped over the moon
little dog laughed to see such fun
And dish ran away with spoonTwinkle twinkle little star
I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high
Diamond in the skyLittle miss muffet sat on her tuffet
Eating curds and whey
Along came a spider sat down beside her
She reached for the sprayI’ve got a hole in my pocket
I’ve got a hole in my jeans
I’ve got a hole in my pocket
Spend all day picking up my keys -
I’ve got one million millions
I’ve got one million dillions
I’ve got one dillion dillions
Here for loving youSure as the rain is wet
And elephants don't forget
Sure as the sun is warm
And thunder comes with thunderstorms
Sure as day follows night
And 2 wrongs don't make right
Is as sure I am
That I can’t stop won’t stop
Loving youSure as sugar from sugar cane
And rainbows coming after rain
Sure as a cat drinks milk
And silkworms keep on making silk - sure as
flowers and bees make honey
And an elbows are not that funny
Is as sure I am
That i can’t stop won’t stop loving you
Is as sure I am
That I can’t stop won’t stop loving youAnd if you’re wonderin’
‘Bout the love I’ve been squandering
I’ve still got one lillion dillions her for loving youWhen I’m old and grey
Put my teeth away
There’ll still be
One million dillions left for loving you -
Drink your milk
Eat your beans
Put on your shirt
Put on your jeansComb your hair
Brush your teeth
Shoes and socks
You know what to do
And make sure you tie your laces up‘cause laces are cheeky
and they can be sneaky
and may try to trip you upAnd when they get wetty
they turn to spaghetti
and tangle around your feetYou could be climbing the stairs
And they’ll say who cares
And trippety trip tripSo it’s best if you keep them neat
Then they can’t mess with your feet -
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy dayFor when your troubles start to multiplying
And they just might
It's easy to forget them without trying
With just a pocketful of starlightOoo ooo ooo ooo oooo oo oo
